Well, our first attempt at fostering ended like I thought it would. We are going to adopt Ringo as our first "chip". Thanks to anyone following his blog, but please start looking at the other available hounds because Ringo is off the market! BTW, we are changing his name back to his racing name and calling him Cisco. We are now a two senior hound household and happy to be so.

Ringo has settled into his foster home beautifully. He is getting along great with Charlie and the neighborhood dogs and children. He is very friendly to people and animals we meet on walks, and he does well on lead. Despite some mention of housebreaking issues from his previous home, he has been perfect for the week we have had him - not even a hint that he even thought about marking anything. He has been left alone in the house for up to three hours with no problem. He has not used a crate and he is sleeping very well on his bed next to our bed. He wakes us up with kisses on the nose every morning. He's a sweet guy with a happy personality. I have posted a picture of he and Charlie doing what hounds do best - chilling on their beds. Ringo is in the back.
